Mast Top Pulley Assembly

1. Pulley assembly

The mast top pulley assembly is composed of 3 pulley arms of steel cable which is lined into 120 degree angles and 2 power cable arms.

2. The pulley

The pulley assembly has a spray treatment after hot dip galvanizing; the power cable pulley is made from the materials of polymer and non-metallic, with stainless steel shaft; the steel cable pulley adopts in cast steel and hot dip galvanized, the bearing inside is copper and self-lubrication and its shaft is stainless steel.

3. Cable position locker

The pulley arm is equipped with cable position locker, to prevent cables from taking off pulley arm groove when in operation.

4. Weathproof

The pulley assembly center is designed into a closed structure which can prevent birds and foreign objects from entering the pulley system.

5. Lightning rod

The top pulley assembly is installed with the lightning rod, larger than 16 mm in diameter, hot dip galvanized. The top of the lightning rod is copper plating.


Winch System

1. Winch system

Yuntong’s winch system is mainly refers to the driving motor and the winch.

2. Winch

The winch is composed of screw gear self-locking device, drum, anti-slip device (one way damper), torque-limiter, and its sealed box etc.

3. Torque limiter

The winch has a torque limiter, when the tension of steel cable reaches the preset tension, it will work automatically to protect steel cable from broken.

4. Driving motor

The motor option is external or internal; raising-and-lowering system can be operated by motor power or man power, handle is provided for hand operation.

5. Weathproof

The winch body adopts cast steel processing, spraying surface after phosphate treated.

6. Screw gear box

The screw gear box is a sealed design which can prevent from dust and foreign objects. The gear ratio is 60:1.

7. Drum

The drum is made of steel and hot dip galvanized.

8. Anti-slip device

The crown will continue to fall faster in the inertial and gravity when the power cut occurred in lowering operation. To deal with this potential danger, winch configured additionally with anti-slip device, and stop dropping automatically when crown lowering.

9. Bumper

The bumper is designed on the crown, which can make steel cables’ tension increased slowly and avoid direct damage between mast top assembly and the raising crown.


The latching Mechanism

1. Latch pin

The latch pin which is always at level positioned in the spiral rotation, and then steel cable guides and through the latch pin into latch barrel accurately. The latching pin latched in latch barrel is able to release strain on steel cables when in the operation position. The process of latching on and off is stable without vibration. The latching barrel is on the underside of the mast top pulley assembly. The latch pin is made by stainless steel.

2. Latch barrel

The latch barrel is on the underside of the mast top pulley assembly, and protects all steel cables and latch pin not-exposed.

3. Red flag indicator

Every latch pin equips with a red flag indicator. The flag reflects actual situation of latching operation and has obvious visual effects for operator.


Support ring and Crown

1. The Lighting fixtures install on the crown for lighting. The shape of the crown can be customized according to client’s requirements which are made of high-quality steel and both inner and outer surfaces are hot dip galvanized.

2. The whole crown is hot dip galvanized after cutting, drilling, bending and welding. There is no welding and cutting for on-site installation.

3. A standard support ring is provided for connecting different models of crown and raising-and-lowering system conveniently.


Steering Assembly

1. Steering assembly

The steering assembly on the support ring is used to overcome shake and keep crown with lighting fixtures centering on the mast.

2. Steering arms

The steering assembly has three steering arms, to secure accurate steering. In addition, three steering arms are linkage.

3. Steering assembly materials

All steering rollers are made from polymer materials in order to avoid damaging coating of highmast surface when raised and lowered. The steering assembly is processed by hot dip galvanization, and all shafts and pressure springs are stainless steel.


Junction Box

1. Set the stainless weatherproof junction box on the support ring, which is a connection between power supply and all lighting fixtures.

2. The junction box has a socket to connect test purpose power cable and ground power supply. A spare power cable for testing purpose is provided for testing lighting fixtures on the ground when servicing or repairing.


Steel Cable

1. The steel cable is high flexible hot dip galvanized or stainless steel cable. The main steel cable is able to withhold the connected load with a safety factor is 8, and other steel cable’s safety factor is 6.

2. All working steel cables are not exposed and protected by mast, pulley arms, latch barrels and pins. All termination of the steel cables which don’t have twisting of its structure is clamped and protected.

3. Steel cable holding disk have groove and crimp joint to protect steel cables structure when under stress.


Power Cable

1. The power cables are always with heavy robber sheath in type YC4*6mm2 + 1*2.5mm2.

2. Using four power cable pulleys which are larger than 200mm to widen the diameter of cable’s bending radius, in order to reduce the impact of temperature change and cable deformation.

3. The power cable is available to be customized according to the client’s special requirement.


Electrical Devices

1. The electrical device includes lighting control cabinet and raising-and-lowering control device.

2. The raising-and-lowering control is available to operate crown to go up, go down and cease, and let remote controller enable operator to stand at a safe distance (5m) when lowering operation.

3. Air switch is used for lighting control, overload and short-circuit protection. The airline industrial standard socket, is used for connecting power cable within mast, spare cables and socket, and equipped for testing purpose when crown in lowered position.
